Bistro Moderne is award-winning Scottish chef Mark Greenaway's second restaurant, in a beautiful old bank building in North West Circus Place at the heart of Edinburgh’s Stockbridge. At Bistro Moderne, Mark takes the French bistro concept and revitalises it with his unique, inventive style using locally-sourced ingredients.
The 3-course lunch menu (£15) changes every two days and the dinner menu features dishes such as Soft Shell Crab with Tartar Sauce; Roasted Chicken with Bacon Waffle, Braised Lentils, Cabbage and Pancetta; and a Tonka Bean Crème Brûlée with Cashew Nut Praline.
Diners can eat at tables, high tables or at a granite bar. A new feature is the 5-course grazing menu of Scottish dishes where there is the option to pair each course with whisky, beer, cocktails or wine.
Bistro Moderne is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, and is proud to offer hearty Sunday roasts (£25 for two). Mark is passionate about great food being accessible and is pleased to offer breakfast from 8am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
